Question: Do all cars have it?
Answer: Only cars that have less than 100,000 miles on the odometer and are newer than 8 years old qualify. About 85% of our inventory mix qualifies.
Question: Do I need to take my car to you for all the maintenance work?
Answer: No. We feel our technicians as well as our prices can not be beat. However, if you prefer to go to your own mechanic, that is fine. The warranty still is valid.
Question: Is there any deductible?
Answer: Yes, $200
Question: Do I need to do ALL factory recommended maintenance in order for the warranty to be valid?
Answer: Absolutely. If you want to keep your car running well past 100,000 miles, you should at the very least follow the factory recommended maintenance per your owners manual. We always recommend an oil change every 3,750 or 3 months. It's a proven fact it will stretch out the life of any vehicle. If you do not do the factory maintenance, the warranty would be void as well as the health of your car.
Question: How do you know if I have done ALL the Factory service if I don't come back to you?
Answer: You will need to retain the paper records for the maintenance work performed. This is a good idea anyway to increase resale value of your vehicle down the road. Our dealership retains these records on our customers behalf to again build the resale value of your car.
Question: Is it REALLY the best in the country?
Answer: To our knowledge, yes. We have found a few dealers that include an extended warranty with used vehicle purchases for certain sales or promotions but no other dealer that we know of will offer 2 years or 100,000 miles of coverage with all the extra benefits year round.
Question: Do I need an extended warranty if I buy a used car from you?
Answer: That decision is up to you. The Q Certified Warranty covers your powertrain but there are many other components that are not covered. Many of those components can cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to fix. We recommend you look at the overall risk versus reward when deciding on an extended service contract.
Question: If I bought a car from another dealer, can I buy only the Q Certified Coverage from you?
Answer: Unfortunately, no. We can only provide this service to cars we are able to inspect. Certain inspection protocols must be done to qualify a car for the warranty.
Question: So if I am traveling in Newark, Wilmington or Dover and my car breaks down, what do I do?
Answer: You would simply call the 1-800 number we give you at delivery and someone will begin to make arrangements to have your vehicle towed and begin to plan any other services you may need.
Question: Is the 1-800 number going to get routed over to another country who will not understand my situation?
Answer: No, the call center is located in Chicago and handles all warranty issues for the largest automotive warranty company in the world. This means they are constantly talking with dealerships, tow trucks and customers who are currently in a similar situation.
Question: Where can I get a list of Q Certified Service Shops?
Answer: Ask our dealership for a list of service shops in areas you visit frequently.
Question: Why only certain dealerships?
Answers: Who works on your cars is almost as important as how often you get your oil changed. Technicians are like doctors for your car. Although cars are machines, each one is slightly different and needs to be treated that way. The dealers we recommend have all met the same standards we were held to during our inspection period and we feel are capable of fixing your problem and not causing others.
