Hyundai Quality - redefining its position in the automotive industry!
Thursday, February 18, 2010
Hyundai's committed effort to produce top-quality vehicles pays off yet again. The latest recognition is from J.D. Power and Associates, which ranked Hyundai as the number one brand in the non-premium segment in its 2009 IQS, Initial Quality Study. The Korean automaker also moved up nine rungs to be positioned at 4th place, just behind Lexus, Porsche and Cadillac in the overall industry cutting across all segments!
This is the second time in four years that Hyundai finished among the top four most quality car brands. Previously, Hyundai's quality was judged third-best in the industry in 2006. Many Hyundai models also received J.D. Power and Associates' top honors in their respective segments. The 2010 Hyundai Elantra, which scored a 9 out of 10 for reliability, and the 2010 Hyundai Genesis, which ranked 9 out of 10 or above for performance, safety and interior, have been ranked #1 in the compact car division and the "all-new redesigned" segment respectively. The Hyundai Accent missed the title by only one point in the sub-compact segment, but received a 9 out of 10 for safety.
